Trialing Winesave

Mr. Z and I attended the Appropriately Long Sommelier’s Lunch way back in March.  It’s the third time the lunch has been on, and we’ve been there since its inception.

On the day, we found boxes of Winesave waiting for us on our table – every guest was given a bottle of the product to take home and try. It’s a great targeted promotion of course, and we were eager to give it a go given that we already considered buying it (after reading about it in Delicious magazine).

If you hadn’t heard of it, Winesave is meant to help you store any bottles of opened wine that you don’t want to finish in one go. Sometimes we open a bottle of wine during the week, have maybe half the bottle, and then when we try it again a few days (or even a week after), the wine had gone off. Obviously not the ideal situation because we need to make sure that if we’re opening a nice bottle of wine, we drink the whole lot. Often it’s just the two of us, and I don’t think it’s a great idea for us to be polishing off a whole bottle of wine each time.

So far, our trial of Winesave has been… amazing! We’ve been able to save quite a few bottles; the longest time we’ve stored a bottle after opening was about 3 weeks. I can definitely recommend this if you have the same issues for wine storage!

PS: I do apologise for the lapse in posting recently – I promise to be more diligent from now on! :P
